In March of 1976 together with his son, Les Garvey, our downtown branch of J. Garvey and Sons was opened as a retail shop. Also, in August of 1976, our first mail auction was released; Followed by three to four price lists per year since then. 1976 also saw our first attendance at our first out of town stamp convention in Calgary, Alberta. Since then, our range of shows has increased dramatically to the point where we attend approximately thirty stamp conventions/shows from Victoria, B.C. to Montreal, Que. each year.

After several moves within downtown Edmonton, our shop remained at our Empire Building location till 2003, when we returned to a home based business, produce three to four private treaty sales per year and attend numerous conventions!
